It's dark and the AC will struggle when they get packed. But the get packed frequently as they are known for cold beer, decent cocktails and really good bar food at even better prices. The kitchen is tiny but a lot of great burgers, wings and other foods come out. They are delicious. Bartenders are friendly The owners work a lot of shifts. It's dark and a good spot to chill

You need to come on Friday or Saturday for lunch or dinner and have the shrimp dinner! Fried or boiled or both! Very good and every waitress we had was extremely nice and attentive. Classic dive bar with good food and drinks. The Rueben is a hit as well! Recommended!

Finally stopped in after driving by this place so many times. It was pretty much what we expected! A clean and friendly neighborhood bar filled with friends having dinner and enjoying themselves. I had the fish taco (special of the day) and even though it was good, it wasn't what I was expecting. It's essentially a fried cod fillet on a tortilla with taco toppings. It was filling, but not what I'm looking for in a fish taco. Hubby had the fish and chips and didn't realize it was going to be a fish sandwich with fries; however, the fish was good (same piece as they used for the tacos) and the fries were perfect for him. Crispy!! My only negative is that when I ordered a bourbon on the rocks, I was charged $1.00 for the "rocks". This is a MAJOR irritation to me. I would appreciate it if someone told me I was going to be charged that fee ahead of time and I would just take ice from my water glass and add my own "rocks'. All in all though, we will certainly go back and I will definitely try the Reuben next time!

"Shrimp All Day" reads the sign. it's a crude drawing, seemingly guileless, even. The sign doesn't lie, we soon found out. It had been a long day. 100 degree heat index. We were moving for what, 8 hours (a stressful story that will be related in a separate entry once that chapter has been closed. Yes, we're still moving. Please don't ask or you'll need to buy me a drink at Twin City). It was at a ridiculous point after another trip back to our old house 45 miles away. Our friends suggested an evening outing. We agreed this was a fabulous idea. We couldn't fathom getting in a car again, though. It's really nice to have a bar within fair walking distance. Twin Cities is it. Now, Kansas City is hardly the Twin Cities, let's be real here. That name kind of annoys me because it's misleading! I suppose what they mean is the whole KCK KCMO thing and it *is* right on the state line and all. The four of us walked in, hoping for the divey, neighborhood vibe and we were rewarded with just that. Wonderful! The K decided to test out the promise of "Shrimp All Day" and indeed, a giant pile of shrimp quickly appeared, brought to us by he who appeared to be the chef, an avuncular sort who also brought us a huge platter of what might possibly be the best tater tots I've had since Junior High cafeteria days (why did they taste so good back then?!) Drinks were made strong, the crowd inside grew progressively...enthusiastic, so our small group went out back "under the tent" on the patio. Not the most picturesque patio in town, but it does the trick. I'm sure I'll be a regular here. That's the whole point of a place like this, isn't it?
